The battle of the legends
There are two Porsche 917 Ks on the grid in this race, a confrontation that's sure to start making history as soon as both of the 2.4 GHz controllers have been pressed. The legendary Porsche that won so many races and championships in the top cc class appears twice in this set. The imposing 600 horsepower it pumps out are produced by a throbbing 12-cylinder engine. The first one is the Martini & Rossi Racing Team version driven by Vic Elford and Gerard Larrousse, whose greatest triumph was winning the Sebring 12-hour race in 1971. The other is the Porsche 917 K Martini International, the car that won the 9-hour race in Kyalami a year earlier.
